ACB Patch Quick Start

This quick start guide works you through the entire set up.

Windows

Install vanilla ACB

Download Ubisoft Connect and log into an account, then download and install the game.

Run ACB once

In Ubisoft Connect, start the game once to install necessary drivers.

Once this is done, you can close the game. If you want, you can uninstall Ubisoft Connect.

Download the launcher

Download the AN launcher. Your anti-virus or whatever may try to block it, in which case follow the instructions here.

Locate the game

Start the launcher and allow permissions in the pop-up window. Then, click the Locate Game button. Go to My PC and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, then click Open.

Patch the game

The AN launcher should now load its full UI. From here, you can click the Patcher button and patch the game. Wait for the download to finish, then wait for it to finish patching. Once that's done, the bottom left of the patcher window will read "Done."

Optionally, you can also install the bad maps or remove non-whispers music files from this page as well.

Choose a username

Close the patcher and choose your username from the dropdown menu. The default is probably Fwiend.

This lists all the usernames registered on AN, so if you want a new one, it's best to register it on AN.

Enter the server IP

Once you know which server you're connecting to, enter its IP address at the top of the launcher and press Enter.

For the main ACB 2.0 server, enter: 10.8.0.21).

Set up WireGuard

Head to here to install the VPN.

If you don't have a config file, head to the configuration page here. Ask in the AN server or DM Dell for the password.

In the WireGuard UI, go to the option to add a tunnel and choose the config file.

Launch the game

Now, you can launch the game via the Launch Game button.

Controllers

For information on setting up controllers, check the FAQ & Troubleshooting page.

Enable DLL hacks

DLL hacks like strengthened silent hunt require loading of external DLLs. In Lutris, there's a wine prefix dropdown menu next to the play button. Open it and choose "Wine configuration". Go to "Libraries" and add dinput8. The default options should work.
